The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel and Grand Ballroom is an event space that specializes in hosting events with guests of up to 200 people. Our luxuries Event space offers a Bridal Suite, Groom’s quarters, 2 Caterer kitchens, Cocktail Lounge, Chapel Sanctuary and Grand Ballroom. Not to mention the manicured, landscaped grounds which allow a Chapel Event to make use of both the immaculate indoor & outdoor space.
Being that the Chapel is located on a popular vacation destination island, Tybee Island, we get many inquires about hosting small Wedding ceremonies from traveling vacationers.
What is a Tybee Island Chapel elopement? A Chapel elopement is use of the Elegant Chapel Sanctuary for you, your intended, and up to 25 guests. An elopement ceremony will not be scheduled more than 30 days in advance. These ceremonies are offered Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. During an Elopement ceremony clients and guests will only have access to Sanctuary, restrooms and Bridal Suite.
The Tybee Wedding Chapel and Grand Ballroom does NOT have an on site Minister. As part of reserving your elopement at The Chapel we will be more than happy to find a Minister for you. There is an additional fee for the Minister. Elopement clients are more than welcome to bring in their own minister if they choose. The Chapel does not provide any additional time for rehearsal. Total time allowed (arrival to departure) for our elopement ceremonies, includes all set-up and clean-up. Neither vendors nor bridal party may arrive prior to the scheduled time. Due to brevity of the event, floral and other decor is allowed only in small quantities.
We understand the nature of this type of wedding, so we will try to accommodate a couple even with one day’s notice.
We do welcome your wedding photographer, and hope your ceremony at The Tybee Chapel will become a favorite in your wedding portfolio. Need a photographer? We’ll be glad to assist with recommendations.
