Every bride and groom plans something special for the first time their guests welcome them as “Mr. and Mrs,” as well as the moment their guests bid them farewell to live happily ever after! Back in the day, people threw rice on the bride and groom as the lovebirds made their exit! The more recent popular trend is the beautiful and adored sparkler exit! However, we saw a unique take on this loving tradition! On April 30th, the wedding bells were ringing at the Tybee Wedding Chapel, literally! Mary and TR provided their guests with mini bells to ring on as the two celebrated their love! We are anxious to see if this imaginative twist will become more and more popular in upcoming years!
Weddings are about being surrounded by those who love and support you! Guestbooks help the married couple remember those who celebrated with them and how heart warming it must be to re-read the caring and thoughtful notes left by all of your guests! We have seen an array of twists on this traditional concept! Tony and Rachel decided to have their guests sign a wooden “D,” symbolizing the last name the two now share! Sean and Julie chose an enlarged engagement photo with a wide white frame for their guests to leave love notes on! Shaun and Angela designed a shadow box with a tiny heart in the middle that said, “I do. Me too.” They then had an arrangement of small wooden hearts for their guests to sign and place into the shadow box! How precious are these ideas?!
Pictures capture all those candid moments that become memories you’ll never forget! Couples search for a photographer who vibes perfectly with them and gives them the sense of ease that all of their special moments will be caught on camera! However, some of our couples added some fun additions to the photos taken on their big day! We’ve seen two weddings featuring a “selfie station!” At Shaun and Angela’s wedding, they asked their guests to replace their seating arrangement with a mini polaroid of themselves! We LOVE this! They also adorned one side of their bar with a charming “throwback” – disposable cameras! We’re betting they will get some entertaining photos from the differing perspectives amongst their guests!
As the Wedding Season continues, we are looking forward to seeing more and more creative ideas! We’d love to hear your ideas or the best ones you’ve seen at a wedding!
Until next time ya’ll!
